Milestones

Over the course of 2021, local residents, organisations and groups have the opportunity to help shape and influence the future walking and cycling routes on the Isle of Anglesey by getting involved in the Active Travel Network Map preparation process, as set out below. There is still opportunity for everyone to have their say during the statutory consultation phase which is currently live.

  • Stage 1 Consultation

    We asked for your views on walking and cycling routes in your area (good and bad) including identifying problems and/or indicating what future improvements to the walking and cycling network are required across the defined settlements on the Island.

  • Data Analysis and Creation of Draft Active Travel Network Map

    Analysis of the comments along with other data sources and creating a draft edition of the Active Travel Network Map (ATNM) for each of the designated settlements on the Isle of Anglesey.

  • Stage 2 Consultation

    We asked for your views on the draft version of the ATNM where we asked if you were in agreement with our proposed future walking and cycling routes (or to tell us if you were not in agreement and to identify what further improvements were required to the network).

  • Review and Amendments to ATNM

    Creating the revised version of the ATNM taking into account comments received on the online platform, stakeholder engagement sessions that were arranged in each of the designated settlements (in partnership with Transport for Wales), and professional opinion.

    Following consideration and analysis of comments and suggestions received, where necessary, final amendments will be made to the ATNM. Subsequently, the ATNM will be submitted to Welsh Government for final approval.
